I've never much cared for the phrase hobbies. I always think of a hobbie as stamp collecting or something. I like to think I have many recreational pleasures and personal interests rather than an avid hobbie. My Interests are quite broad, however no particular interest is as close to a Hobbie as my website.
I have been passionate about writing, photography and travel all my life so started to develop my personal website last year to publish my interests. I write about my experiences in visiting new places. These could be a new pub, a museum, a park, landscape or City where I have never been. I enjoy sampling new foods, listening to music of many different genres - reading fiction novels and scientific journals. I have a very practical side which has come into its own with renovating my flat. I enjoy working in the garden, building and plastering walls, installing light fittings, shelving and restoring wood and iron fixtures. I also enjoy building PC's - both for myself and friends. My inquisitive mind likes to know how things work! I have used my website as a platform to showcase all these interests.
Another of my passions in life is sport. Although I was born with two left feet and the upper body strength of a new born baby, I love to try my hand at sport. I really enjoy squash and football, as well as individual sports like swimming and cycling. I like to keep fit wherever possible, walking and cycling where I can, and going to the gym when there's time. I like nothing more than watching sport - all sport, but especially team sports such as football (Southampton and Brighton and Hove Albion), rugby (Bath all the way!) and Cricket (Sussex CCC).
I am a very social person and enjoy meeting friends for a range of activities - not just a trip to the pub. I find people an inspiration and hope others find that in me.
