Director of Natural Search for iCrossing
I was Director of Natural Search for iCrossing UK from June 2008 to September 2009. As part of this role I was responsible for the operational side of all Natural Search and SEO activities, including line managing four Natural Search Managers and ensuring all campaigns were adequately staffed & being managed in line with SEO best practices. The role worked in tandem with the Head of Natural Search who was responsible for the creation and implementation of iCrossing's Natural Search Product. Roles and responsibilities included:
- Overseeing delivery of SEO Strategy to iCrossing's full portfolio of Natural Search clients
- Line manager to the four Natural Search Managers, who were intern managing the full team of analysts
- Reported directly to the head of operations and Executive team on a range of operational issues including staffing, capacity of team, campaign concerns and new business opportunities.
- Part of business planning team for department allocating budgets and P&L forecasting
- Knowledge specialist on a wide variety of search marketing topics; from basic optimisation to copywriting and integrated digital marketing strategy - training staff, clients and public forums
- Dedicated point of contact with the New Business team to identify new business opportunities, prepare pitch material and secure new client wins.
