I first started designing websites in my first year of my Physics Degree. I used Microsoft Front Page to design a simple site outlining one of my physics experiements. The following year I purchased this domain and published a simple site about myself.
I am highly competant with the following aspects of web design:
- Hand Coded HTML to both W3C HTML 4.0 and XHTML Standard
- Both table and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) based design and layout
- Email forms and questionnaires in HTML and ASP
- ASP and MS Access databases
- Implementation and upkeep of Content Management Systems including Typo3, Mambo and various bespoke systems
- Some knowledge of Enterprise level CMS including Broadvision and Blue Martini

Small Gardening site, XHTML complient. Written using ASP includes and some page level asp to ensure correct indexing of page in search engines. Layout designed using CSS. All Hand Coded. Also uses ASP and forms to allow user to email client directly from site.
Free Solicitors directory - freelegal4u.co.uk
Solicitors Directory - This directory offers search functionality which allows a user to ufind a solicitor in their local area. Site uses an MS Access database backend to drive results for this search. Also uses ASP to enable solicitors to subscribe for a listing and forms for a user to email the owner. Design uses a combination of tables and CSS for layout.
